September's Metro Denver Monthly Economic Summary had good news for Denver.

The following are just some of the highlights of Denver's successful growth.----Colorado metro areas have a greater capacity to create and sustain jobs than many cities nationwide, according to the Milken Institute’s “2008 Best Performing Cities Index.” Criteria for the ranking include job and wage growth plus measures designed to gauge the health of the technology sector.

----Denver ranks third among 50 metropolitan areas in the Beacon Hill Institute’s Metro Area Competitiveness Report 2007. The report evaluates each metro area’s long-term competitiveness based on government andfiscal policy, infrastructure, business incubation, and other criteria. Denver won particularly high ranks for its infrastructure, public safety, human capital, and business incubation.

----Mayflower Transit’s 2008 Customer Relocation Study shows Colorado had the nation’s 15th-largest share of inbound moves through the first eight months of 2008. Slightly more than 55 percent of Colorado shipmentsover that period were inbound while nearly 45 percent were outbound, which suggests the state is still gaining new residents.

Harvest Party Will Feature Local Artist, Shawndell Oliver

***Shawndell Oliver, a native Colorado Artist, who has always had a vision to incorporate
her artistic talent with her love for animals, the Colorado mountains and International cultures.
Having traveled extensively, Shawndell has interwoven her knowledge of oils, acrylics, light,
shadows and three dimensional textures with her passion to let the viewer feel and embrace
the emotional power of each image or thought.

*Whether she is sharing her interpretation of the animals she met while living in Africa,
her oversized breathtaking Buddhas or riding the mountain range creating the true sensation
of Colorado landscapes only captured from the back of her own horse, she is a true artist.

*Nationally known for her pet portraits, Shawndell has a professional and personal need to let
her pet portraits truly capture the unconditional love we see in our own pets eyes.
This is a magical challenge that she delivers in each painting. Shawndell's collectors have
come to appreciate that every technique she uses is unique and expresses her
own true love of sharing her talent with others.
**We hope you can join us this Wesndesday for a very special event and opportunity to enjoy Shawndell's beautiful art in a wonderful setting.

New York Times article on Denver!!

***The New York Times has described Denver as one of the country's true cultural hotbeds! They described our city as "the new Chicago, chefy and musical with serious eco-cred and zero attitude". Recommended hangouts include Bistro Vendome and Rioja, Alex Seidel's Fruition, where the cheese plate earns raves, and afterhours, the divey jazz club El Chepultepec or Billy's Inn for 75 types of tequila. The New York Times chose Francois Safieddine as the Denver mascot, the night-life impresario and World Poker Champ who owns 5 Degrees, 24k, Monarch and the new Suite 200 in Larimer Square.***

The two bedrooms both have walk-in closets and deluxe full baths. This 1st floor unit has a glass slider that opens onto a lovely stained concrete patio - great for enjoying A beautiful Colorado day. The city and mountain views seen in this video were taken from the penthouse unit (403).
